The plug on my hot tub decided to let out the magic smoke. Rather than binning both the plug and the hot tub, I thought I’d have a go at fixing it. I replaced the wall plug, rewired the hot tub plug (my first time doing one of these), and learned how to use a wiring crimper in the process. Had to buy the tool from Amazon, but it’s a nice addition to my toolbox for future repairs. I’m pleased to say it’s been working perfectly ever since. Always satisfying when a repair saves something from ending up in landfill and teaches you a new skill at the same time. What’s a repair you’ve tackled that looked intimidating at first but turned out to be well worth learning? This was mine! 🤞
