Day 1, done!
How did everyone’s first day go? Mine was crazy busy, tough being the newbie and not knowing any routines and getting to grips with new systems! Life is all about pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones though. 😀

I'm in a fortunate position in a way. My new school has changed so much - 5 lessons instead of 3, 100 minutes down to 60, new catering system, new behaviour policy, moved from Go to Arbor and other things too. I was previously in a school where much of that was my usual and the policy and other things are new to all staff. I'm at the school my 13 year old is at so hopefully it goes well! I'm doing maternity cover but would prefer something permanent. It was a tiring PD Day though.

It was a very positive PD Day but I'll miss tomorrow's as it's my day off and I've got family commitments so that worries me. New school but one I trained at. Lovely people and that's a big thing, isn't it?

@Carol Osborne I was similar. I worked as a primary LSA for 9 years and loved it so much that I held onto that job for dear life whilst completing my degree and SCITT! I am a secondary teacher though for various reasons.

@Chloe Spencer I would like to specialise in SEN but I'm not sure that's something a secondary teacher can do.
