You don't need to rewrite an entire AI caption to make it sound human. You need to find the one sentence doing the most damage. It's usually the one that's technically correct and says nothing. "In today's fast-paced digital landscape." "Unlock your full potential." Perfectly grammatical, completely empty. Find that sentence in your last AI draft. Read it out loud. If you'd never actually say it to a person, that's your fix. Replace it with the version you'd say to a friend, even if it's rougher. If you want AI's help spotting it, try this in your favorite ai (ChatGPT/Claude): 🤖 "Read this caption and flag the one sentence that sounds most like generic AI filler. Rewrite just that sentence the way I'd actually say it out loud, keep everything else exactly as is." Here's the deeper fix. AI defaults to one voice until you actually show it yours. Paste in a few examples of things you've actually written and ask it to write the next thing the same way. That fixes most of the robotic tone before you even get to editing. If this is something you do constantly, you can take it further and build a skill file, a saved set of your writing samples and instructions that AI reads before it writes for you. You stop re-explaining your voice every time. Anyone here already using a skill file or something similar to write in your voice? Does it actually work, or are you still fixing it after?
