The story of my "ax head" and Jesus' restoration of it.
2 Kings 6:1-7 .. what if you read this a little differently.. as a parable or group of metaphors.. - Elisha & child of the prophet: Jesus and me (you) - The ax head: Your spiritual gift. - Being lost in the bottom of the river: experiences that diminished our talents. Thoughts that were lies against the truth. - Acknowledgment that something borrowed was lost: It was never ours to begin with, it was given to us and we weren't good stewards of it. - Pointing to where it was lost: Awareness of where it was lost. Not on the narrow road. - Man of God brought it to the surface: Jesus will restore it. What has been lost or diminished for some time now that you need restored?

@Jaimee Anderson I just want to encourage you, you are making a difference! You have found your calling and your passion for it shows. Realizing my part in decisions I made and taking accountability for those decisions and actions knowing full well that if I had not made those choices that I would not have experienced those things. I did learn some big lessons but I can not blame that on anyone but myself. I was lacking and lonely and desperate for companionship of a man and that is a very unhealthy place to be.

What are you telling yourself is impossible or not in the cards for your life?
Matthew 14:30 Peter focused on the storm and started sinking. When in your life did you struggle with something that you wanted to work out in your favor. Or your timeline for achieving was very different than what God had in mind? And instead of calling out to God, you gave up on the dream or desire. You let the experiences, the words of others, the thoughts from your own mind cause you to throw in the towel... What dream did you give up on? There is a worksheet in the classroom called "My perfect day in my perfect life". What if you brought that dream back to mind and prayed on it. Habakkuk 2:2-3 - Write it down - Be clear on what you want the outcome to be - Live in alignment to your dream. - Stay faithful and unwavering so others can support you. - Don't attach a timeline to it. God's got that under control.

Oof you know this subject brought up alot. We have talked about them. I wanted things to happen on my timeline, I felt ready, but clearly was not, so kept repeating the same pattern and attracting the wrong men. I definitely am in that season of I threw in the towel and dating is out. Was it an enjoyable experience, nope, do I want to go on a bunch of first dates that lead no where or just into a state of confusion, distractions and rejection, nope. Not worth the mental or emotional energy or the time wasted or opening my heart, I put alot of energy into to getting to know each person I went on a date with and in the end it was disappointment after disappointment. Do I get lonely, absolutely, pretty much there is a point in every day I feel that but after the last guy I have zero desire to even attempt to date for a long time. I have to focus on doing the work and healing and getting closer to God so I am not tempted to fall back into what is comfortable.

What fruit are you eating??
Proverbs 18:20-21.. If you are not satisfied with your life right now, start by changing what you are feeing yourself. "From the fruit of a persons mouth his stomach is satisfied. He is filled with the product of his lips." Do you feel discouraged? 🫤 Do you feel lonely? 😞 Do you feel unhappy? 🙁 Do you feel ashamed? 🫣 Change the way you are talking about yourself. vs21 "Death and life are in the POWER of the tongue and whose who love it will eat its fruit." Do you realize the power that words have? including those that are being spoke around you?? The fruit you are consuming on social media, workspace, friend groups, etc... Improve the spaces you spend time in. If you can't remove yourself, bring headphones and listen to positive message platforms.

I understand the need for Community, but my struggle is finding the balance to have energy for it. Solo parenting, working and trying to find the balance and energy is a completely different thing. Being a introvert naturally I need time to decompress and when you hit physical, emotional and mental exhaustion the last thing you want to do is add another event to your list when you don't have capacity for it. I definitely don't want to go to events exhausted and cranky. But at the same time I do know the importance of Community so it can be frustrating.

@Jaimee Anderson that is definitely a possibility
The Holy Spirit is trying to talk to you, are you listening?
Job 33:14 …. If you aren’t perceiving it as guidance and direction, you are going to go down the wrong path. He is trying to tell you something… but you choose to lean on your own understanding. He has tried bringing a thought to your mind, a desire in your heart or a pit in your stomach… but you ignore it and continue on what you think/feel is right.. His plans will always prevail, you are just delaying the process.
