Building a Self-Learning AI-Powered MT5 Trading EA — Looking for Ideas & Collaboration
Hi everyone! I’m from Pakistan and I’ve been involved in trading for around 10 years, while also working professionally in HR within the power sector. I joined ZeroOne because I’m particularly interested in the intersection of AI, automation, and algorithmic trading. I already have a working EA for MetaTrader 5, and I’m now exploring a much more ambitious idea: integrating an AI layer directly into the system. The goal isn’t simply to have AI generate trading signals. I’m interested in building a system where the AI observes the EA’s behaviour over time, analyses its trades, market conditions, performance, drawdowns, failures and successes, and gradually learns where the EA performs well or poorly. Eventually, I’d like the AI to be able to intelligently adjust certain parameters or even modify parts of the EA’s strategy based on what it has learned—while operating within strict rules, risk limits, testing environments and human oversight. In other words, I’m imagining an EA that doesn’t remain completely static, but becomes an adaptive system that continuously learns from its own behaviour and the market environment. I’m still exploring the architecture and the right way to approach this, so I’d love to hear from people here who have experience with AI agents, autonomous systems, reinforcement learning, algorithmic trading, or self-improving software. Looking forward to learning from everyone here and hopefully building something interesting together.

What this document actually is. It's not a personal trading strategy you wrote — it's a viral "build a self-improving trading agent" template (the kind that circulates on X/Twitter) that instructs an AI coding agent to autonomously: sign you up for Railway hosting using an embedded referral code that pays whoever wrote this template, install a third-party dictation app ("Yapper") via another referral link, and pipe-install a real open-source project called Hermes Agent (from Nous Research — that part's legitimate) so it can run forever, unsupervised, editing its own trading logic and pushing redeploys with no human review step. It also has a built-in "go live" switch at the end that flips it from paper trading to real money.

@Abelardo Davide Hello! I'm here to learn how to make agents that can invest in US stocks to help build my portfolio. I have not used AI for anything other than getting answers to questions. I would like to know how to make agents.
Your honest thoughts 👀
Who watched/attended live THE BIG EVENT by Lewis? I think this community could give some honest feedback. 💰What were the expectations? 🤖What were the thoughts during the event? 👉🏼Have you stayed till the end? What do you think overall about Louis' big event?😉 Let's be transparent. I think that feedback, good or bad, is always valuable for the creator themselves.

@Reid Porter I would point out one good thing I learned: we can build and grow our community. We need to work on this system so we can learn from each other, not from Lewis.

I think we are teaching Lewis as his agent, going through all the information he is collecting and building a better agent. Everyone is trying to build an agent, and Lewis has found a way to get us to build it for him. He is learning from all this information every day, every week, and every month.
