How cheese, a weird brekky and my dog turned into a meditation.
One of my favourite research papers behind The Magic in Dogs explored what happens when people intentionally practise mindfulness in the presence of their dogs and I shared it last week. The researchers found that dog-centred mindfulness increased human wellbeing and encouraged more moments of connection and synchronisation between dogs and their people. And I love that, because being present with our dogs doesn't always need to look like meditation. Sometimes it looks like being barefoot in your pj’s outside, rocking pretty wild hair, eating a weird breakfast (basically what was in the fridge and needed no prep), while your dog turns into a snuffle pig and the sound of his sniffles makes your heart sing and you savour it to the fullest and are fully present. To me, just magical 😌. Have a great day everyone 💛

I love doing that with my 4 dogs of course individually. Sniffing can actually tire your dogs out. Plus, it also gives me a moment. We are really enjoying watching Pax.♡

@Birdy O'Sheedy I like to take a towel and place treats it is laying unrolled the roll it up. Or place treats in different places and let them find them in a dimly lit room or outside. And of course because it is so hot they walk the treadmill for at least 15 minutes a day. Eva did 22 minutes the other day she was having so much fun she did not want to leave. I do not use leashes on my dog on the treadmill or when I train at home.😊🌻🐩
When a tennis ball is an announcement 🤣
The magpies come flying in when they see Pax’s slobbery tennis ball. It’s very cute. They know we are about to have a fun, magical time and join us. They play swoop us for attention which is hilarious 😆

How fun my dogs can't play with tennis balls or any toys unless we go in another room because Tibby has a rule all toys are his in the house, at least if he can get to them. LOL 😃 And I have to be careful because he can tear them up, swallow parts, and hurt himself. I only play with toy for heavy cheers from backbox because they have lasted a long time. I do have toys in my training room up away from his reach though and when a stuffy gets raggedy or tug he gets them to play with me because usually they only last one or two sessions with the big boy. Yesterday we all walked the treadmill, all three of my dogs, Jackie is too neurotic to walk the treadmill. I have taught her to sit, down, hand touch, & spin. She reminds me of the chick weasel on Foghorn Leghorn. LMAO 🤣 🤣🤣

Tibby can do it without a leash for about 20 minutes, Eva uses a leash & walked 22 minutes yesterday, and for now with Boise now leash but I stand with my feet on the side and her doing middle & she does about 7 minutes. But we had laid off for awhile and need to build her muscles up so she can keep up.with all the running around I like to do. I really walk but you get my point. Back to our 3 days aweek.😊
In the dark
With another migraine today I have spent in my room with my black curtains down in bed with my two girls at my side. . I am havig frequent migraines, leg cramps, and frequent peeing. Thank God all this is temporary. I have one %@#$%& I had to send Hubby for a large jar of pickles to drink juice to stop cramps yesterday. As long as there are no gaint carrots talking to me I am good. My girls have been my champs lying by my side all day only getting up to go outside or eat. They have been sleeping with me, giving little nuge, or a kiss 💋. As if to say we got you Mom. We know you can do this. My girls are awesome.🌻💕💗🌞

@Birdy O'Sheedy I am feeling good. I actually have emotions & expressions back. It was just needed at the time. But since the dogs & I lost a close friend to us my schooling has taken a hit. Just have to get back into it with Boise. We get to make a training plan & then practice with her training harness, it will be a couple more months till her actual harness is made. Looking forward to the end results. Then we will take the PAT (public access test). We are playing games to learn and build a stronger relationship in the meantime. I love games because we both have a good time weather we are learning or not.
This is the face of the dog….
…who wanted to help by eating the candle I had prepared with an intention for a drum journey and meditation. He doesn’t get at all, why I was like, no, don’t eat the candle! I know it looks like a bully stick, but don’t !🤣

Sharing with my dogs gives me so much joy, also a great deal of drool, but I was prepared with paper towel under Zebs paws 🤪 😍 It's a longer video, so please dont feel obligated to watch it all 😅🫣

I love to share my food with all my furbabies. Hubby says they no I am a push over. They stay under the table in public so we both get pleasure from it at home. And boy howdy do I know what you mean by drool. My boy can soak my whole pants leg waiting for his turn. LMAO 🤣
