I like how writing helps me reflect, and I especially enjoy arriving at paradoxes or question marks that lead me back to silence—or to a state of suspension that is simultaneously one of clarity, suspense, and wonder. Hi everyone, I’m Fiona. I’m based in California, and I joined because I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how easy it is to look calm on the outside while your mind is constantly running in the background. I’m naturally pretty independent and used to solving problems, planning ahead, and staying in control. That works well in a lot of areas of life, but I’ve also realized that not everything needs to be analyzed, fixed, or understood immediately. Lately I’ve been trying to get more comfortable with slowing down, sitting with uncertainty, and paying attention to what I’m actually feeling instead of automatically turning everything into a problem to solve. I’m here to learn from people who are working on the same kind of balance — staying grounded without losing ambition, and becoming more peaceful without becoming passive. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here.
