For me it's just overwhelm and burn out. I am so exhausted and food is heavy here so getting them fed is sometimes the best I can do. I am not sure what I need, I am just collecting info and ideas to use when I have more energy.

Depends on the week. They have weeks where they'll eat something multiple times and all of those will be eaten expect hamburgers. This week it's hot dogs. Lately they are eating banana pancakes (pancakes made from banana and egg and cinnamon, that's it) for breakfast. Hot dog for lunch and potatoe soup for dinner. Or pasta for dinner.

@Deb Spotleson Eh I know it's not great. And they tend to just eat them alone. I'm not so great at "side" dishes.

I was talking to a client the other day and they were telling me how their kids have to have Snacks with them no matter where they go, so they’re always packing up a bunch of snacks and eating all day long. There’s no judgment here share with us about how many snacks your kids do eat daily and let’s take a look at what they’re eating. Send some pictures or even just share what an average day of snacking looks like food-wise.

No idea how many snacks, i dont keep track. But we definitely never leave without snacks packed. Bananas, cheese sticks, meat sticks, sandwiche crackers, gummy fruit snacks, trail mix, popcorn. Yougert and toast when they are home. I'm not so great at making good meals and my kid gets nasty when hungry so a snack is necessary at times.

My husband was able to spend time with us on a little "staycation". Meltdowns were minimal as we visited our local gem and mineral show 3x. Both my kids slept over at grandmas together for the first (and probably last) time ever so I had my first night without kids in 6.5 years.

@Deb Spotleson that's amazing. I can imagine how supportive that is for their parents! They are lucky to have you. For us it was too rough on the kids and the oldest says he'll never spend the night especially with little brother there again...I don't know how it was for grandma but she didn't say it was awful so I'm hoping it wasn't.
