Everyone says "just start a SIP and wait." But what if you start at the wrong time in the market cycle and your money sits frozen for years, earning nothing? In our latest Sarmaaya Explain, we looked at the real story behind SIPs in the KSE-100: 📊 Bull, bear and sideways cycles (they usually run 8 to 9 years!) 📉 What happened to people who invested around the 2017 peak 🥇 Stocks vs gold vs low-risk options 🏦 How interest rates move the market The honest takeaway: long-term investing doesn't automatically mean long-term wealth. Where and when you put your money matters just as much as how long you stay invested. ▶️ Watch the full episode here: https://youtu.be/ZhXHH4MGCUQ?si=lBMLYIccyhXgcCsq 💭 Now we want to hear from you: Would you spread your savings across stocks, gold and low-risk assets, or are you all-in on the KSE-100? Tell us your strategy in the comments

What is this, man... First they told us and prepared us for SIP, and now they have changed the strategy. What should beginners do now? 🫣

@Kainat Gul Appreciate the free education, no doubt. But my point is about consistency for beginners. First we were prepared for SIP with a fixed strategy, now the whole strategy is changed. A beginner gets confused; should he follow old or new? If we ask this, it’s not ungratefulness, it’s a genuine question. Education should bring clarity, not confusion.
Confused....
I am in stock for almost 1 year but couldn't understand yet what to do. I am a long term investor, but after passing one year, I only have 2k profit on 350k investment. I am holding big names, What should I do? What to keep, when to purchase new or sell the down stocks? From where I can study the basics, any authentic and useful plateform? As in general browsing or youtube, it's very confusing to search the exact and useful inforamtion.

What's the WORST financial advice you've ever received?
Let's be real! We've all gotten "advice" from that one uncle, friend, or random Instagram guru that made absolutely zero sense in hindsight. Drop the worst financial advice someone gave you, bonus points if you actually followed it 💀 I'll start: "Investing in PSX is gambling, you will lose everything you invested!" Turned out, you can actually get financially free if you are disciplined in your investing. Tag someone who needs to see this post, before they take advice from their uncle again!

My problem is that no one ever gave me any financial advice, we only knew one thing that we just have to start a committee. Aur committee k pese bhi kahin invest nahi kiye.... :(

@Kainat Gul In Sha Allah
Your stock just shot up 40%... now what?
Sell it all? Hold and hope? Or do something smarter? Taking profits isn't just about hitting "sell." It's about keeping your portfolio balanced so one winner doesn't quietly take over your risk. 🎯 In our latest Sarmaaya Explain video, we break down: 🔄 Periodic, threshold-based, cash-flow & formula-based rebalancing 💰 When to book profits and when to keep holding ⚖️ How to top up underweight assets 🧾 What rebalancing means for capital gains and losses 🛠️ A live demo using Sarmaaya's Zar portfolio tracker on a PSX portfolio Whether you're just starting out or already managing a PSX portfolio, this one will help you build a more structured investing process. ▶️ Watch here: https://youtu.be/FFf3_npt4XI?si=lz81uoZs761DOgP1 Now tell us: When one of your stocks doubles, what do you usually do: book profits, hold for more, or rebalance into other holdings? Drop your answer in the comments! 💬
