@McFiggy H , I have tried it. It's definitely faster than human narrator and you have plenty of options for voices to choice from. The quality is good but I would recommend reviewing the audio before publishing (you can instruct it how to pronounce, specifically foreign names or words. A few caveats: 1) If you use virtual voice and decide to use human narrator in the future, you have contact KDP to delete the virtual voice before you can claim it in ACX; 2) If your manuscript has images, charts, tables, AI won't recognize it unless images have captions; 3) If you plan to sell your audiobook outside Amazon, you can't use the audio. Overall, I think it's a cost effective option compared to human narrator in terms of cost and speed.
