Welcome to Academia. Start with one project idea and leave with a clearer next move. The community is free, and you do not need construction experience to begin. Your first 10 minutes Open Start Here in the Academia Toolkit, then post your five-line project brief in Mission 01. English or Spanish is welcome. A fictional project works. Follow the story inside the open Toolkit 1. The cheaper quote? Decide what must match before comparing prices. 2. The room is still warm. Separate observations from guesses. 3. The listing leaves something out. Find the record you need. 4. Defend your next move. Bring your evidence together in a short explanation. Each episode gives you a decision, a small task, a checkpoint and a direct link onward. Keep the work in one project folder. You can do it in short sessions; there is no streak to lose. Use AI as your practice partner Try ChatGPT or another assistant to question assumptions, compare supplied information or role-play a client. The lesson prompts help you do the thinking. Verify suggestions against actual sources; use fictional or redacted information. AI is optional. Know what “next” means Continue through the open Toolkit without waiting for likes. Then build your Home Improvement and Home Performance foundations, move into Real Estate and Property Additions, and bring those skills into the Sales Final Capstone. The two recertification courses are specialist paths; ask which fits your role.

60-second challenge | Would you move the sink?
A fictional owner wants more kitchen storage and asks to move the sink. You have a photo, but no verified service layout. What would you do first? Vote below, then leave one sentence: what evidence would change your choice? English or Spanish is welcome. After voting, ask ChatGPT or another assistant: “Challenge my reasoning using only the facts above. Ask one question; do not invent site conditions.” Tell us one suggestion you kept or rejected—and why. AI is optional. Open Episode 1 for the scope-comparison exercise and answer guidance. New here? Start with the five-line Mission 01. This is a discussion, not a graded quiz or an automatic unlock. The strongest answer explains what must be verified before design or pricing decisions.

Founder Sessions | Bring a question. Build a useful case.
I am Jose Urdaneta, founder and developer of this program. I want our conversations to help you connect the lessons to decisions you actually face. Use this thread to suggest a group discussion, bring forward a case or express interest in an in-person presentation. Everyone may express interest. Build toward a founder discussion Level 3 · Project Planner: bring a focused question and name the lesson or worksheet you used. Level 4 · Systems Thinker: put forward a short case with facts, unknowns, options and the decision you need to make. Level 5 and above: express interest in a smaller group discussion or an in-person presentation and help other members prepare their cases. These are participation opportunities, not automatic reservations or guaranteed private meetings. We will consider relevance, preparation, useful questions and available capacity. A leaderboard position alone does not select a case. Comment using this template Topic: Lesson or mission used: My question or decision: What I have verified: What is still unknown: Preferred format: online group / in-person presentation City or general area, if relevant: Please remove names, exact addresses, client documents and private financial details. A fictional learning case is welcome. Dates, location, format and available places will be announced and confirmed before booking or travel. No session is scheduled by submitting this form of interest. These discussions are educational. Project-specific design, inspections, approvals and professional services require a separate appropriate process. Participation titles and course completion are not trade licenses. Mission 01 | Turn your idea into a project brief
Your first win in 10 minutes. Turn a project idea into five clear lines. English or Spanish is welcome. Text is enough; a photo, video or AI account is optional. Copy this into a comment Goal: One thing I know + its source: One thing I still need to verify: My next step: Who can help verify it: No project yet? Use this fictional example. Goal: add storage to a kitchen. Known: the fictional owner brief asks for pantry space. Unknown: whether a wall contains services. Next step: gather the existing drawings before choosing a layout. Who: the owner and the appropriate design or trade professional. Your checkpoint You have a goal, a sourced fact, an unknown, a next step and someone who can verify it. A useful question counts as a strong start. This is a planning exercise; no site work is required. Done? Keep moving. Open Episode 1: compare the renovation quotes. You can continue through the open Toolkit without waiting for likes or a reply. Try an AI coach, if you want Paste your five lines into ChatGPT or another assistant: “Ask me one question at a time to improve this brief. Separate supplied facts from assumptions. Do not invent measurements, costs, permits or a finished answer. Help me decide what evidence to request.” Check its suggestions against the lesson and actual records. Help one person move forward Reply to another brief: one thing that is clear, one assumption to check, and one useful next step. If no one has posted yet, challenge your own assumption. Helpful feedback matters more than trading likes. Stuck or seeing a lock? Comment “ACCESS HELP” with the course name, what you completed and what the screen says. Use Skool’s mention picker to tag Jose Urdaneta. A cropped screenshot is helpful if it contains no private details. Continue the open Toolkit while your access is reviewed. Skool level points come from likes on posts and comments. Finishing a lesson or quiz does not automatically earn those points. The requirement shown on each course card controls its native unlock; a help request does not guarantee immediate access.
