Your word is your brand. Protect it like your business depends on it — because it does.
Integrity isn't just about honesty. It's about execution. It's doing what you said you'd do, when you said you'd do it — even when it's inconvenient, even when no one would notice if you didn't, even when a smaller version of the promise would have been acceptable. Every time you keep your word — to a client, to a colleague, to yourself — you make a deposit into a trust account that pays dividends for years. Give without expecting anything back. Watch what happens.
It sounds counterintuitive, especially in a commission-based business where every hour has a dollar value attached to it. But here's what giving without expectation actually does: it builds the kind of trust that money can't manufacture. When people see that you're showing up with no agenda, organizing the event with no sponsor logo, helping the neighbor with no referral ask, they notice. And when they need an agent or know someone who does, you're the only name they think of. Generosity compounds. You just rarely see it happening in real time. Shortcuts destroy legacies. Every single time.
