ROBOT STORY
A robot just ran 100 metres in 8.64 seconds.
Read that again.
A humanoid robot.
100 metres.
8.64 seconds.
For comparison, Usain Bolt's world record is 9.58 seconds.
Now, before we start saying
“robots are going to replace humans”…
I think we're asking the wrong question.
The fascinating part isn't that a robot ran fast.
It's that machines are slowly moving from performing tasks to developing physical capability.
Walking.
Running.
Balancing.
Picking things up.
Working in environments built for humans.
For decades, robotics was mostly about:
“Build a machine that does one specific job.”
We're now moving toward:
“Build a machine that can operate in the physical world.”
That's a completely different technology challenge.
And potentially a much bigger business opportunity.
Factories will change.
Warehouses will change.
Logistics will change.
Construction will change.
Even the definition of a “worker” may eventually change.
The interesting race isn't:
Human vs Robot.
It's:
How quickly can technology turn intelligence into physical action?
That is where the next industrial revolution could begin.
And honestly…
we may be watching the early laps already.
