I tested Make.com hands-on. Webhook in, transform the data, webhook response out. Same test I ran on n8n. What worked: Jane and Bob payloads both returned 200 with the right data. Webhook response actually works here, which is more than I can say for n8n. Operation counts are clear in the history, 3 ops per run for my test. What didn't: The editor confused me at first. I added the webhook as a regular module instead of the trigger and nothing worked. The UI doesn't make that distinction obvious. Mapping fields is fiddly until you learn the "/" keyboard shortcut. And bad payloads fail silently, it returned 200 with empty values instead of an error. You'd need to add your own validation. Verdict: WORTH IT, with caveats. It does what it promises. The UI has friction but it's learnable. If you need webhooks that actually respond, this beats n8n right now. Next up: testing something else. Drop suggestions in the comments.
