Hi everyone. I need your advice what to do next with unpublished album.
(TLDR 25 days have passed since publishing and there is no YouTube distribution yet, opened and replied to a Distrokid ticket without progress):
Backstory:
I posted my debut album with 10 songs on August 3rd, it was distributed on all platforms fast except for YouTube. 10 days in I opened a ticket, and on the 20th I replied to the email asking if I need to do something and/or advice as the instructions were:
"(16:18:31) DistroBot: If your release is still missing after a few days, just reply to that email and we'll take another look. We'll also reach out there if we need anything else."
I haven't gotten a reply from them yet and it's been almost a month since submission.
Meanwhile since I bought the plan with up to 5 artists I posted a single with another artist - it was posted on YouTube music without delay, last week I posted another one.
What I did differently:
- When marking the content I selected the music is AI and it is a persona but I didn't mark the lyrics are AI (I did with the first album).
- I posted with schedule - i didn't submit right away, i chose 1-2 days in the future for the release date.
- My YouTube was only created and added profile image while for the first artist I have already posted videos and some shorts with a few of the songs in the album (3 to be exact) - was that a mistake since I marked "songs haven't been released yet.
I will continue to post singles on the second artist for now while working on third one but I need your advice on what do to with the first artist:
Should I continue to post albums on weekly / biweekly basis regardless if the first album pops on YouTube on my first artist?
Should I delete and resubmit?
Should I give up on the debut album for YouTube music and just post them through YouTube studio?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
