Finding Your Way Back - starts 1st September
A 30-day journaling invitation for women in transition I have a photograph on my screen that I look at every day. I don't know where it is. The last time this happened, it took six or nine years to arrive there. And when I did, I wasn't even looking for it. I was on a snorkeling trip off the coast of Malaysia, wanting to see fish—and I found myself standing on the exact beach I'd been looking at for years. Some things find us before we find them. This journaling invitation works the same way. "Finding Your Way Back" is 30 days of prompts and gentle creative invitations for women somewhere in the middle of a transition. A new country. A quieter house. A loss that changed everything. A creative life trying to emerge. An identity between one skin and the next. You don't have to know where you are. You don't have to know where you're going. Just begin. This is not a challenge. It's an invitation. Write, paint, photograph, or simply sit with each prompt. Do one a day or three on Sunday. Start anywhere. All of it counts. None of it is wrong. Each prompt comes with a small story from my own life. Real ones. Not curated. Because the only journaling that actually helps is the kind that feels true. Six themes. Thirty days. One full circle: Arriving Memory & Place The Body Knows Colour & Creativity Relationships & Loss What's Becoming Share what emerges if you want to. The Tea House is here to witness, not judge. Make a tea. Find a quiet corner. Open to Day 1. And begin. 💛

🍵 Invitation to the Art Is Magic Tea House
You didn’t plan to arrive here. But then again, neither did I when I first slipped into paint. It began quietly — not as a life decision, but as a longing. A need for colour, movement, and a space where the mind could rest and the heart could speak again. Somewhere along the way, art stopped being a hobby and became a doorway back to myself. This Tea House was born from that doorway. A warm, quiet sanctuary for introspective, artsy souls who find themselves in a moment of transition —a new country, a quieter house, a career pause, a shift in identity, or simply a deeper longing for meaning. Not everyone speaks of these moments. But they are tender. And they matter. Here, you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to impress. The Tea House is a place where you can breathe. Each week, we gather for Tea & Pages — a gentle journaling prompt, a colour, a question, a tiny spark of creation to anchor you back into yourself. Each month, we explore a theme —a doorway into your inner landscape. We paint. We write. We soften. We rediscover the parts of ourselves that had gone quiet. There are no critics here. No pressure to be brilliant or productive. Just curiosity, and a community of kind, light-minded people who hold a gentle space for each other. If you choose to stay, I hope you find your joy in creating. So make a tea. Find a comfortable place. Let the world slow down for a moment. Welcome to the Art Is Magic Tea House. Take your seat on the cushion. If you feel comfortable, introduce yourself below. If you're new here, start with these 3 things:
Welcome to the Tea House, If you've just joined, welcome—I'm so glad you're here. To help us get to know each other and make this space feel more like home, here are 3 simple ways to settle in: 1. Introduce yourself Create a short post sharing: - Your name and where you're from - What kind of creative practice calls to you (writing, painting, collage, quiet reflection...) - What you're hoping to find here A few sentences are enough. We're informal here. 2. Join a conversation Read through a post and leave a comment—even just a few words. Sometimes one honest sentence creates more connection than a long response. Your presence matters. 3. Share what's alive for you right now What's one thing you're noticing, exploring, or needing these days? You can share it in a post, or simply hold it as you explore the space. This space grows through presence and sharing, not performance. Take your time. There's tea waiting.
Day 10: Your Inner Landscape Right Now
I asked myself this question recently. I expected something complicated—unresolved, heavy, mid-construction. Instead, I saw a garden full of wildflowers and butterflies. Untamed. A little wild. Nothing perfectly arranged. But alive—more alive than I'd given myself credit for. Things growing I hadn't planted consciously. Colour arriving without permission. The inner landscape is always more honest than we expect. And sometimes, even in the hardest seasons, it insists on beauty. 🔹Today's invitation: If your inner world were a place, what would it look like today? What's the weather? The season? The terrain? Is there water? Light? What's growing, what has gone to seed, what arrived without being planted? Write it, paint it, sketch it—even the roughest map counts. Share if you feel called. ❤️

Day 9: The Place You Can't Return To
My mother's apartment is in Budapest. She is no longer there. The rooms still exist. The address hasn't changed. But the place I knew, her particular way of arranging things, the smell of her kitchen, the sound of her moving through the hallway—that place is gone. You can return to an address. But sometimes the place that mattered was never really about the walls. It was about who was inside them. I'm learning that grief for a place and grief for a person are often the same grief. 🔹Today's invitation: A place that no longer exists the way you knew it—what do you do with that kind of loss? It might be a home, a city, a relationship, or a version of yourself. Write about what remains. What you carry with you. What you've had to learn to hold differently. Be gentle with yourself today. This one asks something real. ❤️
