Fixing the Water Retrieve
Water retrieves break down for one reason almost every time: the dog doesn't trust the line to the bird.
The fix is simple, shorter marks first. Get him driving confidently to 20-yard marks before you push to 40.
Confidence is built on success, not repetition of failure.
