At around 15 minutes, the initial spice begins to soften as clary sage introduces a distinctly herbal character. By 30 minutes, cocoa moves forward, balanced by the dry, earthy woodiness of vetiver and lingering aromatic touches of clary sage. At around 60 minutes, the fragrance becomes noticeably lighter on the skin, transitioning toward a softer chocolate and vanilla accord resting over subtle dry woods. The dry down settles into a delicate combination of cocoa and tonka, creating a lightly sweet chocolate-vanilla impression with a faint woody dryness underneath. Pleasant and smooth, but increasingly subtle as the fragrance develops. Overall, the fragrance transitions from spiced citrus and aromatic herbs into cocoa, tonka, and dry vetiver. The scent profile is enjoyable, but the limited performance prevents it from making a lasting impression. Performance: Projection is weak, creating approximately a 1.5 foot scent bubble for around one hour. Sillage is fair, leaving roughly a two-foot trail for about an hour. I was around 14 yrs old when I got a bottle of Preferred Stock for xmas. I probably went through 5-8 bottles of the stuff during my high school years. Then when I moved out on my own, perfume was a luxury a poor working teen couldn't justify spending his money on... so i wore nothing, but deodorant, for many years. Wearing Sauvage Elixir today, and it has a faint resemblance to my old favorite. (They share a number of notes) What was you first fragrance? Is there a modern scent that reminds you of it?
