In honor of Frank Voelkl becoming a Master Perfumer, I picked up his Zara Matter of Nature collection—his first release following the promotion. Three fragrances, with a simple opening, heart, and drydown note breakdown listed on each box: 🌋 Volcanic Amber • Opening: Cardamom • Heart: Oud • Drydown: Bourbon Vanilla 🌿 Deep Canopy • Opening: Cypress • Heart: Palo Santo • Drydown: Amber 🌳 Sacred Hinoki • Opening: Maracuya (Passion Fruit) • Heart: Hinoki Wood • Drydown: Suede USA price: $49.99 each for a 100 ml bottle. These just arrived, so I’ll be testing all three and sharing my impressions once I’ve spent some time with them. The notes on the boxes are the starting point now let’s see how they actually smell and develop. Although I don’t own any of this brand I have in the past had fragrances from Bath and Bodywork so this is probably in the same category. And since I know @Edward Mooney really likes this brand I figured I will try these for him while he s recovering!!!

Had a late lunch with a couple of friends this afternoon and a discussion about fragrances came up. One guy asked about Gravite and if anyone’s tried it after seeing the commercials, or Bella Vita, TCZ, and Gumoon which beautiful women on TikTok “guaranteed would drive women wild.” I mentioned I have tried Gravite and found it to be a very good, but an unremarkable, fragrance IMHO but have never heard of of the other three as I’m not familiar with TikTok or what products they promoted. Anyway, out or curiosity I thought I would ask the group if anyone was familiar with the TikTok fragrances. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.
