My resit course
I'm so pleased! I've got 6 sales so far for my resit course and the leads are pouring in. If you're ever worried about doing something outside your comfort zone, try and take the leap of faith! Running ads on Facebook, following up and doing sales - it's absolutely mental that in a couple of months I've come this far but you can too. I'm just a normal guy learning and making mistakes; now is the time to take some chances on yourselves :)
My biggest earner!
So I don't want to jinx this one because it's brand new this week but the initial signs are super positive so I just wanted to update you all on what's happening. In the UK, we have just had our GCSE (end of 16 years old) examinations and in maths, a significant number of students (around 30% depending on sources) do not meet the pass requirements. I believe this is a travesty but it's also an opportunity to support a great number of them in the mandatory November resit exam (if they stay in education, they must take maths again which is pretty demoralising). I have been advertising my resit course using all of the research that I have been learning about to address a significant pain point for parents and students. I have offered a money back guarantee (there are some conditions to protect myself) but I have already had 3 sales in the first 3 days @ £250 a pop. I have another 5 strong leads that I am pursuing so, if I can get to 10 attendees, that will be my biggest 'hourly rate' by far. It is a 6 week course (2 online sessions per week) and if successful, I will be running extra ones through the year and hopefully scale it to a very decent earner. Is there something similar you can do in your country to grow a group with a time based scarcity, a pain point and a money back guarantee which is meant to keep you up at night?! It is a risk for sure but I will be holding on to the money just in case it falls flat on its face and the very worst that can happen is that I ran 12 group sessions for nothing. If it does work then who knows where it might go... Feel free to comment below if you have questions :)

Social Proof
Hello everyone and welcome to our new members. This is just a quick post talking about social proof and how important it is to get some social proof in order to gain new clients. I created a Google business profile for free and on that profile you can request reviews and testimonials from your current and past clients. This has been something really useful for me when getting new clients because I can just point them to my reviews or you could do your reviews on a Facebook page. That can help sway them to work with you in the future. I used to underestimate the power of a decent review and now I see that actually it's one of the most useful things you can do to convert your leads into paying clients. You can Google Bow Tie Teacher and see the sorts of things people write about me if you wish; I used to find it extremely difficult to ask for reviews especially if people ignore it after a couple of times. But I'm growing a thicker skin as time goes by and am learning not to take it so personally, especially when you've done so much to help their child progress. So give it a go! Reach out to your WhatsApp contacts, your email contacts and whoever else has worked with you in the past and ask them for some positive words!! Have a great day, Rob

How to scale your earnings as a tutor
Good morning everyone, I thought that I would write something today instead of posting a video just to mix it up a bit! Whilst I have had a great deal of success in raising my value (and my prices as a result), I have also been trying to run group sessions because I believe that if you can get a decent number of students in the group, it could be more lucrative than 1-2-1. This has been a slow burner for me and hasn't earned a great deal yet and it can be tricky to get a time where several people are available but I'm throwing it out there because you may not have those same difficulties in your area/community. I started out the group as ridiculously cheap just to see if there was interest and I managed to get about 8 people in there at a maximum. I was also offering a free one as a trial as I was running the session anyway so an extra person didn't really make much of a difference. Students tend to keep their cameras off and interact with me via the Zoom chat so it's more of a 'stream' experience like you see on Twitch etc but it was still proving effective for a wide variety of abilities and neurodivergent learners seemed to like that style too. I 'grandfathered' their price and managed to get 4 paying customers at a higher rate who attend weekly now and I haven't massively pushed this group through socials or ads etc but I reckon that if I wanted to grow this, I probably could. I have offered this to customers as my 'mid-range' tier when my tutoring sessions were sold out and I have 'upsold' parents to the group if they are just on my app because they can get app access included in their monthly subscription. Essentially one group subscription is worth 10 app ones so it's a good little earner in that sense. On the 20th we have our GCSE results day in the UK and I am going to heavily advertise my £250 6 week resit course (12 live group sessions and they have to do a certain number of questions on my platform per week) which I have developed where I am going to be offering a money back guarantee if they were one grade off from passing. From my research into Alex Hormozi, the guarantee should keep you up at night (which it certainly has done!) but if I can get ten students enrolled then as an 'hourly rate' that will be my highest earner by far.
