TONIGHT 7PM ET (not 10pm): Annie is joining me LIVE
This is separate from our Wednesday coaching call, and it is worth showing up for. Blood Pressure, Chin hair, Belly fat? 3 Hidden Hormone Connections Women Over 40 Miss We start at 7PM EASTERN tonight, not 10pm. That is 6pm Central. Doors open at 6:55. Annie is joining me LIVE on camera for the first time ever. She is The Everyday Nurse, and hormones are her territory the way blood pressure is mine. You already know the Triangle. Stress, Sodium, Sugar. What you have not had from me is the hormone layer underneath it. If your numbers moved around perimenopause, if the sleep went first and the pressure followed, that is the piece that has been missing. Tonight Annie teaches it live and answers your questions in the room with us. This is also our first couples night. Bring your spouse. One screen, two people. You know better than most that the hardest part is never the information. It is running this in a house where the other person is not on board. Tonight they get to hear it from two nurses instead of secondhand from you. 📖 The House Rules (please read)
This is a safe, kind place to get healthier. A few simple rules keep it that way. Be kind. We are all at different stages. No judgment, ever. Cheer each other on. AND, not instead of. Everything we share supports your medical care, it does not replace it. Always talk to your own doctor before changing anything. Never stop a prescription on your own. Share wins and struggles. Both help. Your small win might be the exact thing someone else needs to see today. Ask questions. There are no dumb ones. If you are wondering it, someone else is too. No spam or selling. This is not the place to promote other products or links. Those posts will be removed. Protect privacy. What is shared here stays here. Be thoughtful with personal medical details. Keep it hopeful. We focus on what we CAN do, not fear. Hope is a strategy here. Health is not a finish line. It is a daily practice. Glad you are practicing it with us. Joel, RN

How to be consistent and Win!
Researchers at UCL tracked people building new habits and found the average time to make a behavior automatic wasn't 21 days — it was 66. Some habits took 18 days. Others took 254. The range was huge, but one thing wasn't: consistency mattered more than intensity. The people who succeeded weren't the ones who did it perfectly. They were the ones who showed up on the bad days too — even at 40% effort — because missing one day didn't kill their progress. Missing two in a row is what did. The same study found a single skipped day barely dented habit formation. Back-to-back misses did. That changes the whole game. You're not failing because you had a bad Tuesday. You're failing if a bad Tuesday turns into a bad Wednesday. Three things that move the needle, backed by the research: 1. Anchor it to something you already do. Habit-stacking (pairing a new habit to an existing routine) outperforms relying on willpower or motivation, because you're borrowing a cue that already fires reliably. 2. Shrink it until it's stupid-easy on hard days. The habit doesn't have to be big to count on a rough day — it has to happen. A 2-minute walk still counts as "walked today." Consistency is what wires the behavior in; intensity is what you add once the wiring is done. 3. Track the streak, not the outcome. Outcomes (the number on the scale, the reading on the cuff) move slowly and lie to you short-term. The behavior is what you control every day. Protect the streak, and the outcome takes care of itself. You don't need a perfect week. You need to never miss twice. What's one habit you're building right now — and what's your "even on a bad day" version of it? Drop it below. 👇
