I've been able to learn songs via a combination of music books and by ear, but I have a thought that I liken it to. "Just because you can cook something following a recipe, it doesn't make you a chef". Joining the Bulletproof guitar club is like attending a culinary school, as Ross is teaching about the "ingredients" that make up soloing. Timing, rhythm, space, etc. It's been extremely informative and I would highly recommend joining the club.

The experience has been breath taking. My playing before-hand was okay, but it has levelled up through Ross's teaching and the tools he gives you. I thought I knew what phrasing was until I started this course, but I did not. I was playing the same licks and I sounded boring. Now I know the how and the why. How to time things, why to leave space, why repetition matters and when to use those tools. Now I have a toolset. And it works: every-time.

Ross is an excellent mentor, trainer and inspiration. I haven’t been playing guitar for long, maybe 2 years and I mainly joined this group because I’ve joined a band and wanted to gain some confidence and knowledge. What’s really important about BG is the opportunity to record yourself over a specific backing track and get rapid and constructive feedback from Ross. This feedback includes an analysis of your technique over a given phrase and ways (if necessary) to improve upon that.

I appreciate there's a clear timeline you can choose to use for practicing with daily exercises. So you know what to do for how long. The way the lessons are presented is created to build the right skills in the right order. I also love the way the video lessons are created for playing along. Ross Campbell builds the speed with a different tempo for the exercises with tabs showing on screen. Feedback from the other guitar players and Ross Campbell is great for getting and staying motivated.

The term, best thing since sliced bread comes to mind. After many, many years of trying to play the guitar, failing and giving up, only to repeat the process months later, I now feel totally pumped up and wanting to constantly practise. I haven't even used the club as much as I would like to at the moment because of other commitments, but I know that when I can use it to it's full potential, everything in my playing is going to rocket. The feedback from Ross and everyone is INVALUABLE Join now.
