Welcome!
Welcome to Care Leaders Hub! We’re really pleased to finally open the doors and welcome you to the community. Care Leaders Hub has been created for care owners, managers and leaders who want practical support, useful resources and a place to talk openly about the real challenges of working in adult social care. Between us, we have spent many years working across leadership, quality, compliance, workforce development and business growth — and one of the biggest things we’ve learned is that care leadership can sometimes feel like a pretty lonely place. That’s exactly why we created this Hub. We want this to become a community where you can: ✅ Ask questions ✅ Share experiences ✅ Learn from other care leaders ✅ Access practical tools and resources ✅ Get support with the challenges you’re facing ✅ Develop your confidence as a leader Most importantly, we want it to be practical, supportive and useful. So to get things started, please introduce yourself in the comments below Tell us: • Your name • Your role • What type of service you work in • And one challenge, topic or question you’d like us to cover in the Hub There are no wrong answers your responses will actually help us shape future discussions, resources and sessions around what care leaders genuinely need. We will be active in the community, so please get involved, ask questions and make the most of it. We’re really pleased to have you here. Welcome to Care Leaders Hub. Neil & Martin
New Guide: Positive Feedback Does Not Replace Robust Governance (Feedback & Governance – CQC)
We’ve just added a new practical case study to the Hub: Feedback & Governance – CQC, which you can find in our Regulation and Compliance classroom. It explores an important leadership lesson: positive feedback from people and families is valuable, but it should never be used in isolation as evidence that a service is well governed. The guide looks at how leaders can bring together: - People’s experience - Audits and operational evidence - Incidents, safeguarding and medicines information - Workforce and performance information - Provider and senior leadership oversight The aim is to help you ask a simple but important question: “What is our governance system telling us that positive feedback alone might not?” There’s also a short case-study exercise and governance check that you could use in a management meeting or leadership discussion. We’d really like to hear your thoughts once you’ve had a look: What information or evidence gives you the greatest confidence that your service is genuinely performing well? Please share your experiences below, there’s a huge amount we can learn from each other.

Care Leaders Hub is now completely free 🎉
Hi everyone, We wanted to share an important update about the direction of Care Leaders Hub. When Neil and I created the Hub, our aim was to build something genuinely useful for people working across adult social care, somewhere to access practical resources, learning, leadership development, honest conversations and support that can actually help in day-to-day practice. As the Hub has developed, we’ve reflected on how we want it to grow, and we’ve made the decision to remove the Free and Premium membership structure altogether. Everything within Care Leaders Hub is now free for all members to access. Rather than putting parts of the Hub behind a subscription, we want as many people as possible to be able to use the resources, complete the training and development programmes, watch the leadership discussions, access the guides and toolkits, learn from real cases and contribute to the community. We believe the Hub will have far greater value if people are able to use it, share it, talk about it and recommend it to others working across adult social care. Our focus now is on building a strong and useful community and continuing to grow the content available, whether you're a registered manager, team leader, care professional, provider, commissioner or simply someone with an interest in improving adult social care. You’ll now have access to all of the current classrooms and resources, including our Leadership & Management Development Programmes, Training & CPD, Leadership Discussions, Regulation & Compliance resources, Q&A recordings, Real Cases Real Learning, Weekly Sector Insights and much more. And we’re only getting started. We’ll continue adding new learning, practical resources, discussions and other content as the Hub grows. If you know somebody who you think would benefit from Care Leaders Hub, please feel free to invite them to join too. Thanks for being part of what we’re building. Martin & Neil Care Leaders Hub

Good morning!
Happy Monday, Hope you all had a good weekend and are feeling ready for the week ahead. As we start a new week, we wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has joined the Hub, explored the resources and contributed to the community so far. With the whole Care Leaders Hub now free to access, we’d really like this space to become somewhere people can not only find useful guides, training and practical tools, but also share ideas, ask questions and learn from each other’s experience. So, a simple Monday question: What’s one thing you’re focusing on this week? It could be something operational, a leadership challenge, preparing for CQC, supporting your team, improving a process, or simply trying to get through a busy week! Drop it in the comments below. You never know who else might be working through something similar, or who might have an idea that helps. Have a great week everyone Neil & Martin Care Leaders Hub
