Let’s not overcomplicate clipping
The main goal of a clip is simple:
make people want to watch the full episode.
- You don’t need 20 effects, crazy captions, constant zooms or B-roll every 2 seconds.
- If the moment is good, don’t kill it with editing.
- Find something that makes people curious, surprised, interested or makes them want to hear the rest.
- Then keep it clean.
For me, a good clip is basically a trailer for the full conversation.
Don’t explain everything. Leave something for the episode.
