THE MATERIAL ARRANGING PROJECT (MAP)
What becomes possible when we arrange materials?
The Material Arranging Project is a community exploring that question together.
Material arranging is a simple, open-ended practice. We choose materials, place them, move them, combine them, rearrange them—and begin again.
There's nothing you need to make. No prescribed outcome. No single right way. Instead, we become curious.
What else could this be?
What happens if I move this?
What might I see differently?
Working with our hands we may also slow down, focus our attention, and feel more grounded.
Each week, I offer a simple invitation to explore—a MAP Moment. Try it in your own way, then share whatever emerges— a photo, thought, question, discovery or something unexpected.
Look at what others discover, too. Their perspective may help you see something new — and yours may do the same for them.
No artistic experience needed. Just bring your curiosity.
Arrange. Rearrange. And begin again.
