Objective: Get new member's acclimated with Draven Design Group, background and learn more about what this group has to offer for creatives, crafter's and artists like you. Who is Draven? That would be me. My name is Raven and I named my business after my cousin who passed after birth. He was named after me. The D stands for design and Raven is a unique, enigmatic and intelligent bird. Raven represents the night and it embodies all things that are me. Based on my real name, family tribute, and personality I chose Draven Design Co as the name for my company. I was born an artist. I believe every human being has an affinity for a particular niche, craft, topic, etc. Art was and is mine. I spent my entire life learning everything I could about art, design and business. I was sewing curtains in middle school and making purses out of jeans in High School. My passion took me to Chicago, IL where I earned my wings. From there I have lived and traveled throughout the Midwest, East Coast and even to the EU. Why did I make a Skool? I want to help. What's the purpose of having so many skills if you can't use them all? I want to plant seeds that grow fruit-bearing trees which drops more seeds. I'm extremely passionate and thanks to select mentors, and uncanny friendships I was able to push myself to my potential. I want to be that same beacon and I believe as a master of your trade there are stages. The ascension is when you go from Master to to teacher spreading what you've learned to other's who possess the same eagerness, ambition and relentless grit you have inside of yourself. I want to share what I know to help other creators master basic concepts of software program as well as design principles so they can excel. What is your background? I went to college for Graphic Design & Advertising and I am certified in that matter. I'm proficient with Adobe Creative Suites. Adobe Illustrator is my poison of choice and I am well trained on Indesign and Photoshop which are considered to be apart of the trinity of design programs you need to know as a graphic designer. In addition, I am proficient with coding languages, web design, procreate, cricut design space, adobe express and many useful programs that crafters use to create products. I have over 14 years of experience using and mastering software suites. In addition, I am in school for Business Administration - Entrepreneurship and I have partnered with businesses in my state that absit with grants, organize events, and host pitch contests. My experience has given me a well-rounded background.
