The Drumming Empowerment Mastermind Program
November 2, 2026 - April 9, 2027
The DEM program is tailored to students who have some prior experience but are looking for a game changing boost of skills, knowledge, and confidence in African drumming, focusing on the djembe.
The DEM program includes:
- Djembe Calisthenics (warm ups, strengthening exercises, endurance exercises);
- Technique Intensives (getting those notes to SING!); Rhythm Embodiment (chanting/body rhythms to embody patterns beyond the brain);
- Rhythm Enlightenment (going deeply into rhythms of the African diaspora and applying all of the above while learning them).
The program includes:
- one lesson per week on ZOOM
- two OPTIONAL Zoom room coaching sessions for questions, clarifications, feedback or requests;
- exclusive membership in a community learning platform via the Skool app, where folks in the program can chat, practice, share, and access learning materials such as practice videos.
