Finding calm while living alone abroad 🌿
Living abroad on my own has taught me a lot about independence, but it also comes with moments of stress and loneliness. There are days when everything feels overwhelming, especially when there’s no one nearby to immediately talk to or lean on.
One thing that has become very important to me is breathwork. When stress starts building up, I take a few quiet minutes to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be present.
It may sound like something small, but focusing on my breathing helps me pause instead of reacting to everything around me. It gives me a little space to clear my mind and regain my balance.
I’m still learning how to manage the challenges of living abroad alone, but I’ve realized that taking care of my inner peace is just as important as taking care of everything else.
Sometimes, all I need is a few deep breaths to remind myself: I’m okay, I can handle this, and I can take things one day at a time.
