Welcome to Faith on Trial: start here
Welcome. I am glad you are here. For twelve years I tried to build a case against God. I lost that case to the evidence, and this community exists so that you can examine the same evidence for yourself. Believers are welcome. Skeptics are welcome too. Bring your best objection. Here is how to begin: 1. Introduce yourself in the comments. Tell us where you are from and the one question about faith you most want answered. 2. Open the Classroom and start Evidence That Would Not Break. It is nine short lessons, and each one takes about five minutes. 3. Explore the other free courses: The Tempter's Playbook, a guided tour of The Malgrave Letters; Creation Questions, fifteen lessons on origins; Answering Skeptics, twenty-five lessons that each take one objection to Christianity seriously and answer it; and The Cross Examination, a walk through my novel of a professor tried in The Hague for teaching Genesis as history, one lesson per trial day; and Fiction That Argues, a read-along of my novel Ward No. 8. 4. Post your hardest question in Ask the Professor. Every course is free and open to every member. You earn points when other members like your posts and comments. One request: disagree with ideas as strongly as you like, and treat every person here with respect. If you want to go deeper, my books are at alfredbasta.com/book and my music is on Spotify under The Bastas Project. Put your faith on the stand. Alfred
