📌 START HERE — Read This First (3 steps, 10 minutes)
Welcome to FUNDY. You're in. Most people join a credit group, scroll for ten minutes, and never come back. Do these three things instead and you'll be ahead of almost everyone here. 1️⃣ PULL YOUR 3-BUREAU REPORT You cannot fix what you cannot see, and you cannot dispute what you cannot prove. Get your report and monitoring here: https://app.myfreescorenow.com/enroll/B01B5697 Why all three bureaus? Equifax, Experian and TransUnion don't carry identical data. An item shows up on one and not the others all the time — and that difference is often your strongest dispute angle. Pull one report and you're blind on two thirds of your file. And why monitoring instead of the free annual report? The free one is a snapshot. No score, no alerts, no way to see what changed after you dispute something. Monitoring is how you watch an item actually disappear, catch a new collection the week it lands, and prove to yourself the work is working. It's the tool, not an upsell. Keep it on while you're working your file. 2️⃣ GO TO THE CLASSROOM Open the START HERE module. Four short lessons: how to read your report in 10 minutes, what you can actually dispute, and where to go next. Have your report open while you go through it. 3️⃣ INTRODUCE YOURSELF BELOW Comment on this post with three things: • Your first name • Your city • The ONE item on your report that surprised you That third one matters more than it sounds. The people who post in their first week are the ones still here in month three — and month three is when results start showing up. — One honest note: everything we teach here you can legally do yourself for free, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What you get from this room is the system, the right order to do it in, and people doing it alongside you. We help dispute items that are inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable — never accurate ones. Nobody here can promise you a score, a deletion, or a funding amount. Results vary from person to person.

The fastest way to put years on your credit file
Most people build credit forward. There is a way to build it backward. If someone adds you as an authorized user on a card they have held for years, that account's history can land on your report. Its age. Its limit. Its payment record. You did not wait for it, and you never have to touch the card. Before anyone does this for you, check four things on that account. Does the issuer report authorized users to all three bureaus. Not all of them do, and if they do not, nothing happens at all. Is it old. The age is the entire point. A card opened last year adds almost nothing. Is utilization low. You inherit the balance too. A maxed out card will drag you down rather than lift you. Is the payment history clean. One late payment on their account can show up on your report. That last one runs both ways, which is why this works best between people who genuinely trust each other. If the primary stops paying, it lands on you. Results vary from person to person. Has anyone here been added as an authorized user? Post what happened below.

Your first credit card: what actually matters
Everyone asks which card to start with. It is the wrong first question. Most starter cards will build your file. What separates a good one from a wasted year is four things, and almost nobody checks them before they apply. 1. Does it report to all three bureaus. Some cards, especially the app based ones, only report to one or two. You spend a year building a file in one place and the lender you actually want pulls from another. Check before you apply, not after. 2. Is there a path to unsecured. If you are putting down a deposit, you want to know how and when you get it back. A secured card that never graduates is just holding your money. 3. What is the annual fee. Plenty of starter cards charge you for the privilege. There are good ones that do not. Do not pay a fee for a product you plan to outgrow in twelve months. 4. How big is the limit. This is the one people miss. On a 300 dollar limit, a 90 dollar balance already reports as thirty percent utilization. A bigger limit makes the same everyday spending look smaller. Two routes worth knowing. A secured card gives you control and a deposit you get back. Being added as an authorized user on a seasoned account in good standing can put history on your file faster than anything you open today. One rule either way. Use it small and pay it before the statement date. A card you never touch teaches the bureaus nothing. A card you run up teaches them the wrong thing. Results vary from person to person. What are you working with right now? Post it below and I will tell you what I would look at next.

Paying your card off does not mean the bureaus see zero
Most people pay their card off before the due date and assume that is what the bureaus see. It is not. Your card reports a balance once a month, and it is almost never on your due date. It is on your statement date. Whatever is sitting there on that day is the number that lands on your report and gets used in your utilization. So you can pay in full every month, never miss a payment, and still show high utilization all year. Plenty of people do exactly that and cannot work out why nothing is moving. If you want the reported number lower, when you pay matters as much as how much you pay. Results vary from person to person. New members, welcome. Drop a hello below and tell me one thing you are working on with your credit right now. I read every one.
