A couple of weeks ago, Cabbage worms stripped my Kale down to the veins.
I cut everything back to the main stalk and dipped it in a bucket of soapy water.
I also cut back the parsley growing next to it back to 2 inches above the soil level.
The good news: It seems to have worked. Both the kale and the parsley are coming back.
I almost always harvest parsley this way anyway. I expected the kale to come back as well.
The bad news: Something keeps nibbling off the budding kale leaves. We have ground hogs, rabbits, and squirrels. I have some empty milk crates now, so I'm put them upside down over it. We will find out if it is squirrels or the bigger fur balls.
Always an adventure.
