It’s rarely one dramatic problem. More often, you start seeing friction everywhere. Quotes take longer to go out. Stock becomes harder to manage. Invoicing and collections become inconsistent. Decisions keep coming back to the owner. The team grows, but productivity doesn’t grow at the same pace. The lesson is an important one: You cannot sustainably scale a business by simply adding more sales to systems that were designed for a much smaller business. At some point, the way you run the business has to evolve with the ambition.
