The goal of your first month is not to buy every tool or offer every service. It is to prove that you can complete a small set of jobs safely, profitably, and professionally. Week 1 — Pick your service list Choose 3–5 beginner-friendly services you can perform confidently. Define what is included, what is excluded, and when the work requires a licensed trade. Week 2 — Practice and document Complete two or three practice projects. Time the work, track material costs, and take clean before-and-after photos with permission. Week 3 — Build your basic sales system Create a simple service list, a written estimate template, a job checklist, and a review-request message. Tell your personal network exactly what services you offer. Week 4 — Book and finish real jobs Respond quickly, inspect before quoting, confirm the scope in writing, protect the work area, collect payment, and request an honest review after the walkthrough.
