🌱 THIS WEEK IN HEALTHEOLOGY: P = PHYSICAL
We’re continuing our August journey through Psalm 1 and our RPMS Biblical Wellness framework. And this week... we’re getting PHYSICAL. 🥑 But NOT with another diet, detox, or list of foods we’re “not allowed” to eat. Nope! 🙅‍♀️ This week’s Biblical Wellness Rhythm is all about NOURISHMENT and a simple question: >>> What can I ADD to better nourish the body God gave me? <<< In this week’s Substack article, I shared 3 Tiny Nutrition Rhythms I personally use to make nourishing choices a little easier: 🥦 1. Add a God-Grown Good. -- Look at your meal and ask: What can I add that grew from the ground, a tree, a vine, plant, or animal? 💪 2. Pair it with protein. -- Rather than obsessing over what to remove, make sure your meal has a source of protein to help strengthen & satisfy you. 🏠 3. Make your environment work FOR you. -- What we see, stock, prep, and keep within reach can make nourishing choices easier...or harder. Those are the quick hits, but I go deeper into the why & how behind each one in this week’s Substack article. Give it a read, choose ONE tiny nutrition rhythm to practice this week, and let us know how it went!! 🩵 🍽️ AND SPEAKING OF NOURISHMENT… We had 12 Healtheology ladies around the table at our Monthly Meal last night!! 🥹 No workout. No formal Scripture study. Just food, fellowship, conversation, laughter, and making space to be with one another. Relational wellness counts, too. 💙 💪 NEXT UP: BIBLICAL WELLNESS WORKOUT Our next in-person gathering is Tuesday, August 25 from 7–8:30 PM at COMMUNITY Christian Church Downers Grove. We’ll be back to moving our bodies, soaking in Scripture, and practicing Biblical Wellness together as we wrap up our month in Psalm 1. If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, consider this your invitation to come try it. You do NOT need to be “fit,” know anyone, or have done one of our workouts before. Come as you are. 🌱

🌳 THIS WEEK IN HEALTHEOLOGY: Let’s Get Physical
Happy Sunday, friends! Here’s what’s happening in Healtheology as we keep making our way through Psalm 1 and our August theme: Healthier Roots Before Healthier Habits. 🧠 IF YOU MISSED LAST WEEK: M = MENTAL WELLNESS Last week’s Biblical Wellness Workout of the Week was a prayer walk. 👟 🕊️ Psalm 1 starts with: “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked…” So instead of adding another habit, the invitation was to take a prayer walk and pay attention to what’s been shaping your thoughts lately. • Who are you walking with? • What voices are influencing you? • What thought patterns might God be asking you to walk away from? If you missed it, go back and give it a try this week! Here’s the article: https://wholehardy.substack.com/ 🥘 THIS WEEK: P = PHYSICAL Next up, we’re looking at Psalm 1 through the lens of our physical health — specifically nourishment. Because being “like a tree planted by streams of water” has me thinking a LOT about what actually *nourishes* us vs. what simply fills us. More on that in this week’s Biblical Wellness Workout newsletter issue. Stay tuned. 👀 🧘‍♀️ TUESDAY 8/11: IN-PERSON BIBLICAL WELLNESS WORKOUT We’re back to moving this Tuesday! This week will be a more yoga-inspired Biblical Wellness Workout, rooted in Psalm 1. Think slow flow, strength, balance, stretching, breath prayer, Lectio Divina, Scripture, and time with God. As always: all bodies + fitness levels welcome. Chairs are always available for support and modifications. 🩵 📅 COMING UP IN AUGUST 8/11: Biblical Wellness Workout 🌳 8/18: Meal Together 🍽️ 8/25: Biblical Wellness Workout 💪 And throughout the month, keep coming back to our August word: FLOURISH. 🌱 Not “fix yourself.” Not “try harder.” Not “perfect your habits.” Simply plant yourself near the Source. Grow deeper roots. Let God produce the fruit. See you Tuesday if you’re local! 🩵✝️
🌳 August Healtheology Theme: Rooted (Psalm 1)
Happy August, Healtheology family! 💙 This month, we're slowing down and planting ourselves in Psalm 1:1–3, exploring what it means to become like a tree planted by streams of water 🌊 deeply rooted, resilient, and fruitful. Instead of rushing to "do more" (guilty of this 🙋‍♀️) we'll ask a wiser question: >>> Who am I becoming? <<< All month long we'll explore Psalm 1 through our RPMS Framework: ❤️ Relational 💪 Physical 🧠 Mental 🕊️ Spiritual Each week you'll have a practical Biblical Wellness "workout" to help you LIVE OUT the passage—not just study it. 📖 Read Along I'm also unpacking Psalm 1 throughout August in Healtheology's Biblical Wellness Workouts newsletter on Substack. Each issue includes Scripture, teaching, and one practical RPMS action to take that week. 🗓️ August Gatherings If you're local, we'd love to have you join us! Check the Skool Calendar here for all the event details and RSVP. - 📖 August 4: Monthly Bible Study - 💪 August 11: Healtheology Workout - 🍽️ August 18: Community Meal - 💪 August 25: Healtheology Workout Whether you're joining us in person or following along from somewhere else, let's encourage one another as we put God's Word into PRACTICE. Let's become people whose roots run deep. 🌳 Healthy to Help, Katie
