Welcome to The Homeschool Mama Hub!
Hi mama, and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Whether you're brand new to homeschooling, thinking about starting, or you've been doing this for years — this is your space. Homeschooling is one of the most rewarding things a mama can do... but let's be honest, it can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and exhausting at times. That's exactly why I created this community. Here's what you'll find here: Free printables, worksheets & learning resources A safe space to ask questions (no judgment, ever!) Tips for teaching reading, phonics & early learning Real support from real homeschool mamas Encouragement for the hard days too A little about me: I'm a former ESL teacher with years of experience working with young learners, and I'm passionate about helping kids build strong reading skills in a fun, simple way. I create resources at KidReadingZone, and now I'm building this community so we can learn and grow together. So let's get to know each other! 👇 Drop a comment below and tell me: 1️⃣ Your name 2️⃣ How many little learners you have (and their ages!) 3️⃣ One thing you're hoping to get out of this community I can't wait to connect with you. You've got this, mama — and now you've got us too.
🔬 Mamas, We Did It! 🎉
Our 5-Day Science Challenge is officially complete! 🌱🧪 But here's the fun part… Science doesn't have to end with the challenge! 😉 Think about what your child discovered this week. Maybe they: 🔎 Asked a question 💭 Made a prediction 🧪 Tried an experiment 👀 Observed something new 🤔 Got an answer they didn't expect ✨ Asked an even BIGGER question! And that's exactly what we want to encourage. 💚 MAMA CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK This week, don't worry about planning a big homeschool science lesson. Instead, try this: Let your child ask ONE science question. It could be anything: 🌈 Why is the sky blue? 🌱 How does a plant drink water? 🌙 Why can we see the moon at night? 🐜 Why do ants walk in a line? 🧊Why does ice melt? Then explore the answer together. You don't have to know the answer. Say: “I don't know. Let's find out together!” That's homeschooling. That's curiosity. That's learning. 👇 MAMA CHECK-IN Tell us in the comments: What was the most interesting thing your child discovered during our 5-Day Science Challenge? And if you have a photo from one of your experiments, share it below! 📸 Let's celebrate our little scientists together!

☀️🔎 DAY 4: SHADOW DETECTIVE!
Welcome back, Little Scientists! 🔬✨ Today we're going to explore something that follows us everywhere... 👀 SHADOWS! 🕵️ Your Mission Go outside with your child when there is sunlight. Stand in one place and look at your shadow. Then try: 🚶 Walk forward. 🙋 Raise your hands. 🦘 Jump Move from one place to another. 💭 Ask Your Little Scientist: 👉 What happens to your shadow when you move? 👉 Is your shadow big or small? 👉 Can you find another shadow? 👉 Where do you think the shadow comes from? ⭐ BONUS CHALLENGE Put a toy in the sunlight. Ask your child to: Predict: "What will happen to the toy's shadow if we move the toy?" Then move it and observe! 🔎 🎨 Extra fun: Let your child draw the toy and its shadow. 💬 SHARE WITH US! What did your little scientist notice about shadows today? 📸 You can share a photo or drawing if you'd like! 💛 Mama Tip: Don't worry about giving your child all the scientific answers. Let them observe, wonder, and make their own discoveries. Predict → Explore → Observe → Discover! 🔬🌎 Tomorrow: 🏆 Day 5 — Little Scientist Celebration!
