1. In this moment, where is the first place that I find gratitude? 2. What in my past am I grateful for that brought me to the gratitude that is present now? Gratitude is not something that can be forced or manufactured. We put ourselves in position to receive it by cultivating present moment awareness, and attitudes of compassion, kindness, and humility. This practice asks you to choose any moment (perhaps right now) to seek gratitude. When it arrives and you feel the expansion in your body (maybe in your heart space or your whole torso), or the warmth in your limbs, trace the moment backwards to find gratitude for choices or happenstances that led to the current moment of gratitude.
