dreamed of dear friend of my parents last night. Bernie Jones and he was hilarious. He and his wife had two daughters and Bernie inherited 10k acres on the Victoria prairie . Bernie lived in a farm house and he called their window unit “ bought air” . They had guineas that flew into the house through open windows. His daughter went to Harvard and are attorneys. We would go visit Bernie and his family. Funny I dreamed all of this and it was reality . He has squeaky voice and wore overalls that were worn. Never a dull moment around Bernie.

Summer is starting to wind down, and I’ve been thinking about how grateful I am for the slower moments this season gave me. 🤍 Time on the farm. Getting my hands dirty. Being with my family. Laughing at things that probably wouldn’t be funny to anyone else. And most of all, getting to spend this time with my dad. There’s something about being back on the farm that reminds me what actually matters. Life gets busy. We’re always looking toward the next thing, asking God what’s coming, where He’s leading us, what we’re supposed to be doing next. But sometimes His greatest gifts are sitting right in front of us. This summer, I’ve tried to be present for them. For the ordinary days. For family. For Dad. For the farm. For the conversations and memories I know I’ll someday wish I could have just one more of. As summer comes to an end, I’m not quite ready to rush into the next season. I’m just really thankful for this one. 🤍 What’s one thing from this summer you want to hold onto a little longer?
