I believe it is by state, and I personally work at an intermediate care building so our regulations are always so different. So can the rest of you share? Her comment is in a screenshot. I have seen a lot of buzz from activity professionals that publisher is going away and that is how they create their newsletters and activity calendars! This is so interesting to me, because I never used publisher, I used word, PowerPoint and other similar programs until I discovered Canva. However, I understand that this is such a common tool and that this going away causes a little bit of stress! Canva has been my go to, and I LOVE IT... maybe a little too much but I would be dis-service if I didn't share with you. It seems that Canva seems to intimidate so many people, but its actually pretty simple. I like to say if you can use Power Point, you can use Canva - it just might take a little bit of time. Although you need to have a Canva account, it is free to use. You can choose to upgrade to the pro version if you would like, but really the free version is more than enough to do everything you need as an activity professional! There is already a few free tutorials in the classroom introducing Canva, but my next goal is to help everyone get familiar with Canva too, and probably some other alternatives to publisher like PowerPoint etc. is this something you would be interested in learning more about?
