Our 2nd meeting on getting organized hit different
A professional photographer, a science teacher who also shoots, and a music educational consultant with a certification in project management walk into a bar, lol. Three different worlds. One powerful conversation. Here is what they dropped on us: @Raquita Henderson shifted our whole orientation. She stays solution focused because the moment she frames something as a worry, it becomes one. Hiccups are just hiccups, not failures, not trouble. Just the next thing to solve. @Brian Kellum introduced us to an issue log - a project management tool where you track your challenges and review them regularly. His question that stopped all of us: "What is the fear around this issue that is keeping me from moving forward?" Write that one down. @Anissa Morency created her own tool - a Monday log that keeps her organized and moving all week long. Built by her, for her. That is exactly the kind of self-knowledge we are cultivating here. I shared tools as well. Especially Aisha.Ai and together, everything on the table gave every single person in that room a real path forward. Watch the video above and see it all unfold. Then drop a comment in the chat: What is one tool or mindset shift from this meeting that you are taking with you? Join us for our next live session and let's keep building. Together we are Liberated Genius Academy, because there is so much more power when we cultivate the genius from the collective.

We are liberating our WHOLE life!
Goooooood Morning and Happy Monday!! Let me tell you about our meeting on Sunday! We are baby stepping our way to getting our whole life together as we get organized. We had the kind of meeting where everybody left feeling seen, empowered, and ready to move differently. That was us. Here is a taste of what we (re)membered together at our Sunday meeting on Getting Organized: 1. @Kelli Barnes reminded us that getting organized is devotion to ourselves - and WE define success. 2. @Kim Baltrip called us back to our authority. We govern our emotions. We make the decisions. That power is ours. 3. @Monica Brown shared how asking for help changed everything. We do not have to carry our work alone. 4. @Javania Michelle reminded us that we really do know what we want. We just have to get still enough to hear our own hearts over all the outside noise. 5. And I reminded us that we must honor ourselves with the same energy we use to show up for everyone else. I also shared my brain dump method, weekly planning tools, and how I used Aisha.ai to build a personalized schedule. Monica dropped a dope organizational tool for managing AI workflows. *Watch the video and let us know what lands for you or share a win from your own organizing journey. If you wan to join the next group of folks talking about getting organized, join us tonight, Monday, Aug 10, 2026, at 6PM CST right here in Liberated Genius Academy. You can join by pressing the link at the top of the Community Section or give me your email address for a calendar invite. *The video picks up where folks are (re)membering past successes, so they can use that as their point of departure. This is an ancient Kemetic (Egyptian) technique, meaning to repeat the birth. So, if you need help, or are in trouble, you think of the last time you were in trouble and solved it, and use that as your point of departure. In essesnce you repeat the success of a previous time.

Something Happened at My Family Reunion That I Can't Stop Thinking About
This past weekend I co-created and led our family reunion. Over 100 people showed up each day. 100 people carrying stories, wisdom, history, and gifts all in one space together. On Day 1 I did something simple. I told everyone to stand up, walk across the room, and meet someone they didn't know. That's it. One instruction. What happened next was beautiful. People didn't want to stop talking. I was trying to move on to the next part of the program and the laughter filled the room. Cousins became family for real in real time. I watched connections form that wouldn't have happened if I hadn't given that one simple nudge. Day 2 I handed out a 2 beautiful worksheets that worked on real real hard, lol. I designed it to help people capture our family history and meet new folks across generations. I thought the instructions on the paper were enough. They weren't. Most people stayed right where they were comfortable and with the people they came with and were familiar with. As I stood there watching, feeling something I couldn't immediately name, it hit me. The difference between Day 1 and Day 2 wasn't the activity. It wasn't the people. It wasn't even the energy. It was the direct invitation. The live activation. The moment I looked them in the eye and said, "Go connect right now. I'll hold the space while you do." Without that, people default to comfort, every time. And comfort, while necessary, may be the antithesis of genius. And after reflecting, I kept thinking about this community, our community. About the 80 brilliant, purpose-driven, gift-carrying, dope @zz people sitting inside Liberated Genius Academy right now. Some of you have been here quietly watching, reading, absorbing. And I see you. I honor that. And today I'm doing what I did on Day 1. I'm standing in the room with you. Looking you in the eye. And giving you one direct invitation. Here's your Day 1 moment: Drop your answer to this question in the comments right now: What is one area of your life where you are actively trying to grow or move forward - and what's the one thing slowing you down?
Something Happened at My Family Reunion That I Can't Stop Thinking About
I was stressed out! Here's what I did.
Academic article revisions due. Two syllabi due. School starts next week. My brain was running a hundred miles an hour and I was deep in it. My wife took one look at me and said two words. "Take a breath." My first instinct? Dismiss it, cuz I got work to do. I don't have time to breathe. But something in me listened. I got up, walked outside, and let the earth hold my bare feet. And then something shifted. I noticed the bumblebee on the flower. The garden. The trees. The dew collecting on my feet. Then I spotted an almond on the ground, picked it up, and shot it into the yard waste like I was back on the court. I laughed. And I loosened up. Here's what I realized: My wife saw something I couldn't see. She saw a someone who needed to pause before I could move forward with power. That's the genius in the people around us. They sometimes see what we can't see when we're deep in the work. The Liberated Genius Takeaway: When you're deep in the work, pause. Get into nature if you can. Take a breath. Come back refreshed, because a refreshed mind does better work than a stressed one. What do YOU do to reset when the pressure piles up? Drop it in the chat, because your answer might help someone in this community right now.
