Welcome. I hope you find what you need here.
I’m genuinely grateful you’re here. The more of us who participate, the more opportunities we have to connect, relate, support each other, and have that moment of, “Oh heck, you too?” Whether your loss is brand new or something you’ve been carrying for years, you’re in the right place. Not everyone understands what grief looks like or where we’re at with it—and sometimes we just need people who get it. Share when you want to. Join a group. Ask a question. Or just hang out until you’re ready. There’s no timeline and no right way to do this. Welcome to Life After Loss. I’m glad you found us.

Start Here!
Welcome and I am so please to have you joine us here! This community is for people working through change—grief, identity loss, unwanted patterns, relationship changes, or simply realizing that the life you have no longer fits. We’ll talk about what actually helps and start rebuilding confidence, changing behaviors, and creating a life that makes sense now. This will not become a graveyard of inspirational quotes and empty “just stay positive” advice. Expect honest conversations, useful tools, and clear next steps. Let’s begin with a simple introduction. Tell us: • Your first name • What you’re currently working through or working toward • One thing you want help changing You don’t need a polished answer. Just start where you are.

Need a little midweek check-in?
Has anyone ever told you that loss can affect your identity?
We talk a great deal about the emotional pain that follows loss. We talk much less about what happens when the person, role, relationship, routine, or future you lost was also part of the answer to: “Who am I?” I call this experience identity erosion. It can sound like: “I know what happened, but I don’t know who I am anymore.” “Everyone thinks I’m doing better because I’m functioning.” “I don’t necessarily want my old life back—but I don’t know what the new one is.” “The roles I used to have no longer fit.” I’d love to hear from you: Which feels harder right now—the loss itself, or figuring out who you are after it?
