The subconscious mind is going to create whatever you plant in it. It is not biased. It is not judgmental. Imagine it always says, “Yes.” Whether we develop thoughts of prosperity or scarcity, it says, “Yes, it will be done.” The subconscious is like an AI prompt. Give it the right prompt, and it will give you an answer to assist you. Give it a mundane prompt, and it will give you subpar answers. Earl Nightingale, in The Strangest Secret, described planting corn and poisonous nightshade in the same soil: the land will grow either one because it doesn’t choose what you plant. What are you planting? Think. 🧠 Likely it's both nightshade and nourishment. Whatever the dominant idea is in your subconscious mind, you will experience it in reality. The best way to turn this around and plant the seeds of an identity that matches your desired results is to become aware of what you are planting. Do not force it. Just observe. Imagine you are the watcher of your thoughts, not their dictator. I like to visualize as an observer walking around the mind, watching what it does without judgment. The observer simply watches where the thoughts go. We are not our thoughts alone. It’s normal to have thoughts we do not desire. Give yourself grace as you recognize this. See your thoughts and begin to think about your thinking. This creates awareness. It begins with awareness alone, without the ego saying, “I’ve got this. Let’s force my outcome.” When we begin to see our patterns, that awareness will automatically begin to alter our patterns of thought. It’s a flow that moves past obstacles and confusion. We are human, and recognizing this allows us to give ourselves grace when we make mistakes. When you become the watcher, you allow yourself to move on from unwanted thoughts instead of letting them drop anchor and weigh you down. You make room for your highest spiritual desires to become experiences in your reality. Be the watcher and “let” your life’s desires become your new reality.
