Why You Keep Getting Stuck
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t doing the work. It’s getting yourself to start. In this video, I talk about why we make starting harder than it needs to be, and how shrinking that first step can help us finally get moving. What’s something you’ve been putting off because the first step feels too big?

Why You Keep Getting Stuck
Stop Making the First Step So Big
One thing I’ve noticed is that we often make starting harder than it needs to be. “Work out” becomes an hour at the gym. “Work on my business” becomes finishing an entire project. “Get my life together” becomes changing everything at once. Try shrinking it. Don’t work out. Put your shoes on. Don’t finish the project. Open it and work for 10 minutes. Don’t fix your whole routine. Pick one thing to do today. Make the first step so easy that it’s harder to avoid than to do. What’s something you could make smaller today? Comment below 👇

The First Step Is Just Starting
When You Feel Like Two Different People
Yesterday I was completely switched on. My energy was high, the music was hitting, ideas were flowing. Then enter today, complete opposite. 😐 Same person. Same goals. But everything felt flat. Instead of waiting for motivation, I took a shower, did some pull ups, put on music and started moving. Slowly, the energy came back. It reminded me: You do not always need motivation to create momentum. Sometimes momentum creates the motivation. Don't worry about going from 0% to 100%. Just find what gets you from 0% to 5%. Once you get yourself moving, things start clicking again. What helps you get moving when you're feeling flat?

Momentum > Perfection
It has been a little quiet in here. Honestly, I fell out of my routine for a couple of weeks. Work slowed down. My habits slipped. Things I normally wouldn't think twice about suddenly felt way harder to start. And it reminded me of something. Being consistent doesn't mean you never fall off. You're going to have bad weeks. Your routine is going to get interrupted. You're going to lose momentum sometimes. The important part is what happens next. You don't need to make up for everything you missed. You don't need some massive comeback. You just need to start again. So that's what I'm doing today. One post. One small win. Then we do it again tomorrow. If you've fallen off something recently too, what's one thing you can restart today? Drop it below 👇
