Know your mission

It is such a cliché you hear everybody out there saying know your mission and write it down because that will help you know your direction and keep you moving forward even when things get tough because they will get tough.

It’s a cliché because it’s true!

Our mission is to build happiness, transform lives and strengthen the community.

For most of us at SteelPoint Capital and our portfolio companies that’s not just the mission of the company, but that’s the personal mission we live out in our lives all the time.

I can tell you for me personally, not just knowing that mission but truly truly believing it and living it out in my life is what drives me every day.

There are things I do every day that I love to do and there are things I do every day that I don’t feel like doing or love to do, however, I know that doing both the things I love to do and the things I don’t love to do are driving forward the mission, which is what keeps me on point.

My strong suggestion, for you is to identify your mission, not just to do it, but truly to understand why you are doing what you are doing and then to make sure you remember that mission and it becomes a part of your being.
