Book Club is happening in 24 days
myCaroline Book Club; our first read!
🥇 Our first myCaroline Book Club read is Sisterhood Heals by Dr Joy Harden Bradford! 🎉 A fitting first choice for our community, Sisterhood Heals explores the power of female friendship, particularly among Black women, and how our relationships with one another can become sources of support, healing, growth and belonging. It feels like the perfect place for us to begin. And the voting has also given us our next two reads: 🥈 Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson A compelling work of fiction spanning generations, family secrets, Caribbean heritage, identity, love and loss. 🥉 The Uncommon Enemy by Isha Johansen A powerful true story of leadership, courage, football, politics and one woman’s determination to challenge the status quo. This means we’ll be moving beautifully between non-fiction and fiction, giving us a wonderful mix of real-life experiences, storytelling and plenty to talk about. First up: Sisterhood Heals You’ll have approximately eight weeks to read the book, giving you plenty of time to enjoy it at your own pace. Source your copy in whichever way works for you. Buy it, borrow it, download it or listen to the audiobook. On Monday 2nd November 2026, we’ll come together online for our first myCaroline Book Club conversation, a chance to talk about what resonated, what challenged us, what surprised us and, of course, the things we may not all agree on. And if you’re a speedy reader, you already know what’s coming next. Feel free to move straight on to Black Cake whenever you’re ready. This is only the beginning. As our Book Club grows, we’ll also be inviting you to recommend the books you think should find their way onto the myCaroline reading list. So, find your copy, make yourself comfortable and get reading. First stop: Sisterhood Heals. We can’t wait to hear what you think. 📖 Check the calendar and save the date!!

STRONG FOR THE LIFE AHEAD
This Wednesday, Mandy and Dr Diahanne Rhiney are closing our Midlife Health & Wellbeing series with a conversation I think every woman in midlife needs to hear. Food. Movement. Muscle. And future proofing our bodies. Because strength in midlife isn’t about chasing the body we had at 25. It’s about protecting the body we want at 60, 70, 80 and beyond. Can I get up from the floor easily? Can I carry my own shopping? Can I travel, dance, climb stairs and live independently? Am I eating to simply get through the day, or to nourish the woman I am becoming? And perhaps most importantly, am I waiting until something goes wrong before I start taking my health seriously? This isn’t about punishment, restriction or suddenly becoming obsessed with the gym. It’s about strength, mobility, nourishment and longevity. Midlife isn’t the beginning of our decline. It can be the moment we decide to become intentional about the body that has to carry us through everything we still want to do. Wednesday Midlife Conversations Part 3: Strong for the Life Ahead Food, Movement, Muscle & Future Proofing Your Body 📅 Wednesday 23rd September 2026 ⏰ 7:30pm UK time 📍 LinkedIn Live: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drdiahannerhiney Come and join us. And tell me in the comments: What do you want your body to still allow you to do at 70? #midlife #midlifewomen #womenshealth #menopause #healthyageing
