Your job may have been training you for more than your current position. Think about what you've learned through YEARS of working: Communication. Leadership. Organization. Problem-solving. Customer service. Training. Planning. Managing people. Managing projects. Your employer may pay you to USE those skills. But the skills you've developed belong to YOU. Today's exercise: Complete this sentence: **“Because of my work experience, I now know how to __________.”** Don't think about a business yet. First, recognize what you KNOW. That's where ownership begins.

Stop overlooking what comes naturally to you. One reason you may struggle to figure out what you could build is because you’ve been doing certain things for so long that you no longer recognize them as valuable. Try this today: Write down 3 things people regularly ask you for help with. Then ask yourself: “Why do they keep coming to ME?” There may be a skill, gift, or area of knowledge you’ve been overlooking simply because it feels easy to you. You are NOT starting from scratch.
