Hey everyone, I was on my morning bike ride, and this came to me to share with you. Every time you hear a critical or self-sabotaging voice in your mind, remember that it isn't the whole of you. It's a part of you that is asking for understanding and a better explanation. When you notice that voice, pause and identify it. You can even give it a name. Then, instead of arguing with it or trying to silence it, become a loving, growth-oriented mentor to that part of yourself. Teach it to move toward growth rather than escape. Self-love, in this sense, is your willingness to continue your journey despite the negative voice. Rather than letting it stop you, you help transform it into a supportive one. Simple Journaling Practice at times of holding yourself back: 1. Notice the voice.
What is the critical or fearful thought saying? 2. Name the part.
Give this voice a name or describe the role it's playing (e.g. "The Perfectionist," "The Protector," "The Doubter"). 3. Understand its intention.
What is this part trying to protect you from? What does it fear? 4. Offer a better explanation.
Respond with compassion. What would a wise, loving mentor say instead? 5. Choose growth.
Write one small action you can take today that aligns with your values instead of your fear.
