START HERE: Read this before you do anything else
Welcome to PMKinetic CPMAI Academy. Start here, it takes two minutes. Introduce yourself in the comments below so we know what you are preparing for and how to help you. Everything else in the community is open to you from day one, but people who say hello get answers faster, because we know what they need. Tell us three things. Copy the format and reply below: 1. CPMAI goal and date. Are you preparing for the PMI-CPMAI exam, and what is your target exam or completion date? A rough date still counts, a booked date is the single biggest predictor of passing. 2. Already sat the PMI-CPMAI exam? Help the next person
Several members of this group have now taken the PMI-CPMAI exam, and more are booked for the coming weeks. For the people still preparing, the most useful study material right now is your experience, while it is still fresh. If you have already sat the exam, passed or not yet, please answer any of these in the comments. One line per answer is enough. Q1. Which domain felt hardest on the day, and which felt easier than you expected? Q2. How did the time work out? Did you have time left to review your flagged questions? Q3. Compared with the practice questions you used, was the real exam easier, harder or about the same? Q4. What would you study differently if you started again? Q5. One tip for someone who sits the exam next month. One rule: please do not share or describe actual exam questions. PMI's exam confidentiality rules do not allow it, and it can put your certification at risk. Talk about domains, topics, timing and how you prepared. Still preparing? Question of the Day: The Field That Arrives Too Late
A consumer lender is building a model to predict which new personal loans will default in the first 12 months. The team trained it on four years of loan history. On the held-out test set it catches 93% of defaults with very few false alarms. The scorecard the bank uses today catches 61%. During the review before the go/no-go meeting, a credit analyst points out that the strongest input in the model is a field called "hardship plan offered". Collections staff fill in that field after a customer has already missed two payments. The sponsor says the model beats the success criteria in the scope statement by a wide margin and wants it live in the loan approval flow next month. What should the project professional do? A. Approve the go/no-go, since the model clearly exceeds the agreed success criteria, and add the hardship field to the production monitoring plan. B. Hold the go/no-go, have the team remove every input that is not known at the moment of the loan decision, and re-evaluate on held-out data. C. Ask the data scientists to tune the model so it relies less on the hardship field, then rerun the test set and compare the new score. D. Deploy the model as a limited pilot in one region and compare its predictions with real defaults before scaling it across the business. Reply with the letter and one line on why.
