DRAPING DILEMMA: “I Want This Exact Look… for $400!”
[DRAPING DILEMMAS] The client wants THIS exact look… but your budget says absolutely not. They send you a photo of a gorgeous draped backdrop and say: “I want this exact setup for my event.” You give them the price. They respond: “Can you do it for $400? Someone else told me they could.” You know the look they want requires more fabric, hardware, labor, and setup time than $400 will cover. What are you doing? A. Taking the job and figuring it out. B. Explaining what $400 can realistically get them. C. Offering a simplified version of the design. D. Letting them book the other designer. E. Something else — tell me what you would do. Fire off in the comments!!!

New beginnings
Hello! I’m excited to be a part of the group
[DRAPING DILEMMAS] You arrive at the venue and realize the wall is NOT what you were expecting.
Your client sent you a photo of the space when you booked the job. But now you’re standing there looking at a wall with ugly marks, uneven surfaces, and nowhere obvious to secure your draping. The event starts in 3 hours. You have most of what you need, but fixing the problem is going to take extra time and materials. What are you doing? A. Making it work. The client hired me to solve problems. B. Calling the client and explaining there will be an additional charge. C. Changing the design to work with the space. D. Telling the venue they need to fix it before you can install. E. Something else. Tell me what you would do. Fire off in the comments!!!
