Why I have been so quiet
Happy New Year! I wanted to share an update on why I have been absent from posting and why I canceled our community calls. At the end of last year, we lost Gillian, someone who was central to both me personally and to Leaders ADAPT. Her passing was sudden and devastating. For those who knew her, you understand how much light she brought to everything she touched. For her family, the loss has been unbearable, and watching them navigate this grief has been heartbreaking. She left behind people who loved her deeply and depended on her in ways that are impossible to replace. Beyond the emotional weight of losing Gillian, her absence created real challenges for the business. She was involved in so much of what we do, and suddenly that work fell to me during a time when I was already stretched thin. The combination of grief and operational pressure has been a really hard period. At the same time, Q4 brought a significant increase in client demand, both from existing relationships and new ones coming to Leaders ADAPT. This growth is something I am grateful for, but it has meant that passion projects like this community, book promotion (speaker engagements), and the Adapt or die podcast have had to take a back seat. I am actively hiring to meet demand, and once the team is ramped up, this will no longer be an issue. To add to everything, my family and I made several real estate investments this year. One of them turned out to be outright fraud and we lost $500,000. The legal aftermath and lawsuits have consumed a substantial amount of time for both me and my wife, and this process will continue for a long time. Once things stabilize, my intention is to bring back multiple calls each month, free group coaching sessions, and much more. I appreciate your patience and your continued presence here. It means a lot.

Welcome to Power Without Permission! You Belong Here.
Hey, I’m Andreas. And yes, I’m a man. So, let’s talk about that right out of the gate. I didn’t build this community to “fix” women. I built it because the system is broken, and I’ve spent two decades watching brilliant, capable women shrink themselves in order to survive it. This isn’t a space where I’m here to teach you how to be a woman in leadership. I could never do that. But I am here because I’ve worked with hundreds of executives, and the truth is, I’ve seen the pattern over and over again. • Preparing 3x more than your male peers just to be taken seriously • Softening your voice to not come off “too much” • Celebrating others while doubting your own wins • Googling "impostor syndrome" at 2 a.m. after crushing a presentation This community is a response to all that. It’s a space for women (and the people who support them) to lead like themselves with empathy, strength, intuition, and EQ. Here, you’ll find extraordinary women showing up every week to lead, mentor, teach, and speak truth and I'll also be here sharing tools and doing the work with you. Start by saying hi in the Intros thread. Let us know who you are and what brought you here. The courses in the this community are free if you bought the book, visit https://www.leadersadapt.com/book/ to explore the Power Without Permission book. This isn’t another leadership club. It's a catalyst. And we’re glad you’re part of it. — Andreas

Welcome! Start here → Introduce yourself
This is your first stop inside The Power Without Permission Community. We’re a community of women (and allies) who are done pretending we’ve got it all figured out. No pressure to be polished, just be real. In your intro, share a few things like: • Where you’re at in your leadership journey • What brought you here • One challenge or question you’re holding • Something most people don’t know about you (optional but fun) Glad you’re here! Let’s rise together.
Power Without Permission is moving. Here is what is happening and where to find me.
Hi everyone, I want to start with the honest part, because you have earned that more than you have earned a polished announcement. Life happened this year. Leaders ADAPT grew much faster than I planned for. On top of that I took on a number of one on one coaching clients, and that work asks for real depth and real hours from me. Those are good problems to have. They are still problems, and the cost of them landed right here, in this community. This space has not had the attention it deserves. That is on me. Not on you, and not on the idea. You joined because you believed this would be a room where things actually happen. For long stretches it has been a quiet room instead. I am not going to dress that up or explain it away. Reasons aren't results. So I am changing it instead of letting it drift. Power Without Permission is moving to Facebook. Here is the new home: https://www.facebook.com/groups/918838294052191/ Why Facebook and not here? Because you are already there every day. No extra login, no separate app, no new habit to build into a week that is already full. Notifications actually reach you. A conversation can start in a comment and finish in an hour instead of sitting in a forum thread nobody opens until Thursday. And because I can show up in the small pockets between calls, which is the only kind of time I have right now. Lower friction for you. Higher consistency from me. That is the whole trade, and it is a better one for both of us. Two things I would ask you to do this week: 1. Join the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/918838294052191/ 2. Subscribe to the Power Without Permission newsletter on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/power-without-permission-7318493799003955200/ The newsletter is where the longer thinking goes. It comes to you, so you never have to remember to go looking for it.
