God gives us everything we need to stand when the enemy tries to pull us away from truth, obedience, faith, peace, and trust in Him. The armor of God is not about making us powerful on our own. It teaches us to depend on God's strength, believe His truth, walk rightly, trust Him, hold onto our salvation, use His Word, and keep praying. The battle may be real, but we do not have to let the battle decide what comes out of us. We can stand in Christ. - When I am under pressure, what usually comes out of me first—faith, fear, anger, peace, truth, or something else? - Is there a lie I have been believing that needs to be brought back underneath God's truth? - Is there an area where I am asking God to fight for me while He is asking me to obey Him? - When someone hurts or opposes me, am I remembering that my battle is not ultimately against flesh and blood? - Am I using God's Word to answer what I feel, or am I allowing my feelings to determine what I believe? - Is prayer my first response in battle or something I turn to after I've exhausted everything else? Father, Teach me to be strong in You and not in myself. Show me where I have believed lies, reacted in my flesh, or treated people as though they were my enemy. Dress my heart in Your truth and righteousness. Make my feet ready to carry the gospel of peace. Strengthen my faith when fiery darts come against me. Keep my mind anchored in the salvation I have in Christ. Teach me Your Word so that I know what You have said, and make prayer my continual response instead of my last resort. When I have done everything You have called me to do, help me stand. And in every battle, let my life still look like Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen. The battle may come against me, but in God's strength I can stand without letting the battle change who Christ has called me to be.

“Faith helps us trust God, hope helps us keep looking to God, and LOVE helps people see what God is like through us. All three matter, but LOVE is the greatest.” Ask Yourself - Is what I am learning about God causing me to trust Him more? - When I cannot see what God is doing, do I still have hope in Him? - Is His work in me making me more patient, kind, humble, forgiving, and truthful? - Do people encounter the LOVE of Christ when they encounter me? - Am I measuring my growth by how much I know, or by how much my character is becoming like Jesus? - After studying this whole chapter, what part of LOVE has God shown me needs the greatest change in me? Prayer Father, thank You for walking me through 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 and showing me that faith, hope, and LOVE matter more than the things I sometimes think are important. Deepen my faith so I trust You when I cannot see. Strengthen my hope when I do not understand what You are doing. And above everything, form Your LOVE in me. Let patience, kindness, humility, truth, forgiveness, and endurance become real fruit in my life. I do not want to merely know what LOVE is. I want Jesus to be seen in the way I LOVE. Continue Your overhaul in me until more of You and less of me is what others see in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Faith trusts God, hope keeps looking toward God, but LOVE is what makes His character visible through my life.

“Right now we only see a little bit, like looking in a blurry mirror. God sees everything clearly, including us. One day, when we are with Him, we will understand much more clearly too.” Ask Yourself - Am I willing to admit that I do not see everything clearly yet? - When God shows me something new about myself, can I receive it without becoming defensive or condemning myself? - Am I trying to understand everything God is doing before I trust Him? - Can I trust God with the pieces of my life that still do not make sense to me? - Am I willing to let God show me what He sees in me, even when I have not been able to see it myself? - Can I rest in knowing that God already knows me completely and still continues His work in me? - Prayer Father, You see me completely even when I cannot see myself clearly. Help me stay humble about what I understand and teachable about what I do not. Show me what You want me to see in myself, and help me trust You with everything I cannot yet understand. I do not want to depend on my own limited view; I want to depend on You, because You already see the whole picture. Continue Your work in me and make me more like Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen. I may only see part of the picture right now, but God sees all of me clearly, and I can trust Him with what I cannot yet see.

Spiritual maturity means allowing God to change not only what I know, but how I think, speak, respond, and love. Ask Yourself: What childish reaction do I still return to when I am hurt or disappointed? Do I still need my own way? Do I assume I see the whole picture when I only see part? Has God been asking me to put away a way of thinking that used to feel normal? Growing in Christ means putting away the ways of thinking and reacting that keep me centered on myself instead of becoming more like Jesus.
